Ben and Ann Kathryn got married on what seemed like the windiest day of the year…but since wildfires had been burning in the area recently, the wind was actually a great thing because it got rid of all the smoke (and it made for some awesome veil shots..as you will see below)! I’m a sucker for fall and all of its beautiful colors…so I was super excited when I walked in to the bridal suite and saw the gorgeous florals and bridesmaids dresses. The details in this wedding would appeal to any outdoorsy bride or groom…a beautiful mountain lake lodge location, s’mores as favors, a map guestbook, and an Appalachian Trail groom’s cake (made by the groom’s mother)! Ben and his best man recently hiked the Appalachian Trail, so it was only fitting to incorporate that into the day. I couldn’t have asked for a better and more joyful couple to close out my 2016 wedding season. So happy for you Ben and Ann Kathryn, and thrilled you chose me to photograph your day!
